SAN ANTONIO – For all the food consumed and knickknacks visitors can buy, it might end up being the cups from this year’s Texas Folklife Festival that people keep for years to come.
The 2017 cup proudly displays that it is the events 36th anniversary, but it is in fact the 46th.

Sixty different cultures were represented this year at the festival, which started in 1972.
The event, which was held outside the Institute of Texan Cultures, shows off Texas’ diversity and heritage through ethnic food, music, dance, arts and crafts.
Thousands of people attended the annual event, which wrapped up Sunday.
