Linkin Park concert in San Antonio canceled after singer's death

Chester Bennington died of an apparent suicide on Thursday

SAN ANTONIO – The AT&T Center has announced that next month’s Linkin Park concert has been canceled in light of the death of lead singer, Chester Bennington.

Live Nation sent out a statement on Bennington’s death, noting that rest of the band’s scheduled tour dates have been canceled.

Statement: “We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington. The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been canceled and refunds are available at point of purchase. Our thoughts go out to all those affected.”

Linkin Park was scheduled to play in San Antonio with special guest Machine Gun Kelly on Aug. 23.

Bennington reportedly hanged himself in his California home Thursday.
