1 dead, another hospitalized, in overnight double shooting

Shooting was reported around 1:30 a.m. in 6500 block of FM 78

SAN ANTONIO – A person is dead and another is hospitalized after the pair were shot in their car overnight, officials with SAPD and the Bexar County Medical Examiner's office said Monday.

The shooting was reported at an H-E-B parking lot around 1:30 a.m. in the 6500 block of FM 78 on the city's far Northeast Side.

Police said the two men were sitting inside their vehicle at a stop sign when someone walked up to their car and started firing.

One of the victims was shot multiple times and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition were he later died. The other was transported to Northeast Baptist Hospital.

So far, no arrests have been made and the names of the victims have not been released.
