Resource fair will provide legal advice, support to grandparents raising grandchildren No description found
SAN ANTONIO – The YWCA will host a resource fair on Saturday for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
Over 25,000 children in San Antonio are raised by their grandparents, and the resource fair is intended to provide legal advice, information on medical services, nutrition and public assistance to grandparents.
There will be presentations on navigating Child Protective Services, grandparents' legal rights to grandchildren and community responsive care for patients to improve health outcomes.
The resource fair will be held at the YWCA Olga Madrid Center at 503 Castroville Road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
