SAN ANTONIO – A father left their five-year-old child injured and alone after driving off of a North Side overpass overnight, San Antonio police said Monday.
The one-vehicle accident was reported around 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Loop 1604 near Blanco Road.
Police said the vehicle made a wide turn, went through the barrier off a bridge and crashed onto the main lanes of the highway.

The father then allegedly fled the scene leaving the child inside, police said.
The toddler was taken to University Hospital with a broken leg and is presently in stable condition.
Authorities said the driver has yet to located.
