Clerk injured after robbery at far West Side gas station, SAPD says

The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was hospitalized in stable condition

SAN ANTONIO – A gas station clerk suffered multiple stab wounds in a robbery at a far West Side gas station, according to San Antonio police.

The incident happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday in the 8600 block of U.S. Highway 90.

The male suspect walked into the gas station and pointed a knife at the register.

After the clerk, 33, did not open it, the man jumped over the counter. The clerk was stabbed in the back and arm several times after trying to avoid the man.

Officers said the man fled on foot with several boxes of cigarettes.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.
