Man's comment on BCSO Facebook page prompts quick arrest

Jason Daniel Flores charged with making a terroristic threat

SAN ANTONIO – A man’s comment on the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page prompted immediate action and led to his arrest.

Around 5:20 p.m. Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page, and in the comment section was a surprising and disturbing response from 30-year-old Jason Daniel Flores.

An arrest affidavit said Flores commented, “Have fun while you can. Because when I get off probation, half of your department is going to be killed with guns scavenged at the mission site.”

The comment has since been deleted.

Investigators found Flores is currently on probation for aggravated robbery. They looked at his Facebook profile, matching his face to his previous mugshot and his personal information to his criminal record.

Flores has been charged with making a terroristic threat in a public place on a public servant, which is a Class A misdemeanor. If convicted, he may serve a maximum of one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
