More rain has fallen in the past few days than the rest of 2026 combined, boosting the Edwards Aquifer more than seven feet since Friday.

Heavy storms in San Antonio over the past few days have set new records, but the area still needs more rain to address the lingering deficit despite recent soaking rains.

A warmer, drier than average month was found by the time all was said and done.

What a difference a week makes. Last Tuesday, Kerrville saw heavy rain that led to city-wide flooding. Almost a week later, residents there enjoyed the benefits of the Guadalupe River by getting a healthy drink of water.

Flash flooding continues across the Hill Country on Tuesday for areas near Rocksprings, Kerrville, and Bandera. In some of these areas, over 6 inches of rain has fallen in the last 24 hours.
