Father, daughter meet for the first time after 50 years
HOUSTON โ It was an emotional reunion for one Tomball, Texas father and his daughter, who were separated at her birth and then came together again after 50 years. Winskiโs daughter, Kerri Beggs, said at the age of 19, she began a quest to find her biological father. Beggs, who now lives in Tucson, Arizona, took a plane to Hobby Airport on Friday, a flight that was delayed. For the first time after a lifetime of missing each other, the father and daughter embraced each other. Silver Alert discontinued for 73-year-old woman from Tomball
TOMBALL, Texas โ Update:The Silver Alert issued for Susan Trlica Edmondson has been discontinued, officials announced Friday evening. Original:The Harris County Constable Precinct 4 is looking for a missing 73-year-old woman who they say poses a credible threat to her own health and safety. Officials said Susan Trlica Edmondson is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs about 135 pounds. Edmondson was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Tomball driving a gray, 2013 Honda CRV with TX license plate CDK 3698. Anyone who has seen Edmondson is asked to call the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 at 281-376-3472.
Coronavirus outbreak at Houston-area nursing home kills 17 residents
This week, in Missouri County, locals expressed concern over 17 deaths that occurred from an outbreak at a nursing home. A novel coronavirus outbreak at a Missouri City nursing home, outside of Houston, has killed 17 residents, according to data from state officials. In nursing homes, staff must be tested weekly and only outdoor visits are permitted. The Paradigm at First Colony Nursing Home has the eighth-highest number of deaths among nursing homes in the state, tied with three other nursing homes, according to data from state health officials. So far, there have been over 18,000 coronavirus infections among residents across Texas nursing homes; of those, more than 2,000 have died, according to state data.
