Isaiah Vasquez, 24, is facing aggravated robbery charges in connection with a home invasion and standoff on the Northwest Side.

SAN ANTONIO – A man has been charged in connection with a home invasion and standoff on the Northwest Side. Isaiah Vasquez, 24, is facing aggravated robbery charges.

San Antonio police said Vasquez was part of a group of people involved in a home invasion on Clear Water Street and Timberhill Drive early Monday morning.

The group then allegedly went to another home nearby in the 7500 block of Barryhill and demanded money, drugs and jewelry. 

Police received several calls about people with guns and a standoff with the group ensued.

The SWAT team responded and after five hours, about half a dozen suspects surrendered without incident and the other suspects were taken into custody elsewhere, police said.

As of Tuesday evening, Vasquez was the only suspect charged in connection with both incidents.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
