Police: Family injured by DWI driver
SAN ANTONIO – A family was hospitalized Saturday night after authorities said the vehicle they were driving in was T-boned by a drunken driver.
Police said just before midnight a family of four was traveling on Braun Road at Loop 1604 when the driver of a pickup truck ran a red light, and hit them.
Inside the car were a woman who suffered a punctured lung, a man who is being treated for a broken hip and two children, who police said were not injured. All four were transported to University Hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck was arrested on two counts of intoxication assault, police said.
