ID theft suspect arrested after wallet left at H-E-B Sheriff's Office says social media aided search

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspected identity thief after investigators said he left a wallet behind at a San Antonio H-E-B.
The Sheriff's Office said Christopher Dudding, 34, left a wallet filled with the IDs of more than 20 people at an H-E-B on Southeast Military Drive.
Dudding attempted to cash two invalid checks at the store on Oct. 26. He left the store after being asked to show identification.
The Sheriff's Office said it received a tip after posting surveillance footage of Dudding on social media.
He has been charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.
