Bouncer shot, killed outside nightclub near downtown, police say

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for two people connected to a shooting that left a nightclub bouncer dead north of downtown.

Officers responded to the Annex nightclub on San Pedro Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday.

They said witnesses told them a bouncer was escorting someone out of the business when he was approached by two people in the parking lot. At some point, the bouncer was shot multiple times. He died at the scene.

Police said the two people involved in the shooting were last seen running from the area.

They did not release the name right away of the man who was killed.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
