Burned body found in South Side fire

Homicide, arson units investigating

SAN ANTONIO – Homicide units were called out to investigate after a body was discovered by crews who were putting out a fire on San Antonio's South Side early Sunday morning. 

San Antonio police said the dispatch call was originally reported as a fire in the 300 block of West Harding Boulevard near Southwest Military Drive. When crews arrived, they discovered a body had been badly burned inside of a detached garage. 

Homicide and arson investigators were at the scene.
