Fugitive sex offender hasn't checked in with officers since 2010

George Sanchez, 41, wanted for violating sex offender registry rules

SAN ANTONIO – A local man convicted of indecency with a 5-year-old girl is wanted for violating terms of his probation.

George Sanchez, 41, was sentenced to two years probation in February 2010. He was required to register annually as a sex offender for life.

The state's sex offender registry site shows Sanchez did register with the San Antonio Police Department that November, but there is nothing indicating he registered with SAPD or any other law enforcement agency since.

"A warrant was issued for Sanchez's arrest, following an indictment filed with the Bexar County District court. The indictment alleged that Sanchez failed to comply with sex offender registration conditions and absconded from supervision," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Bozeman.

Sanchez is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

"His last known place of residence was on the East side of San Antonio," Bozeman said.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 210-657-8500.
