SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office has arrested a second suspect in a murder case involving a woman who allegedly got her ex-boyfriend to kill her current boyfriend.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, Enederia Flowers and Roper had gotten into an argument hours prior to Roper being shot to death down the street from his home in the 6600 block of Clouds Point.

An arrest warrant affidavit said that Flowers and her ex-boyfriend allegedly showed up at Roper's house early Wednesday. The affidavit said Flowers got out of the car with a knife, but that Roper's sister wrestled the knife out of her hand.

Roper's family told deputies they saw the confrontation as they were walking up the street and heard Flowers instruct her ex to shoot Roper. That's when, family said, he allegedly shot Roper in the torso.

Deputies arrived to find Roper with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he later died.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said homicide detectives and members of the USMS Lone Star Fugitive Task Force were able to locate both suspects and place them into custody.

Johnson also was placed into custody near the intersection of Hamilton Street and Poplar Street on the city's West Side for his alleged involvement in the shooting.

Johnson was booked on a first-degree felony murder warrant, along with two other warrants unrelated to the shooting, assault bodily injury and burglary of a habitation.

Flowers, 22, was booked on a first-degree felony murder charge Wednesday.
