Man hospitalized following hit-and-run near Medical Center

SAN ANTONIO – A 22-year-old man was hit by a vehicle while crossing a street near the Medical Center, according to police.

San Antonio police said the man was struck around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on Fredericksburg Road at Louis Pasteur Drive.

According to a preliminary report, a vehicle was traveling southbound on Fredericksburg, struck the man, and did not stop to render aid.

Limited information about the suspect’s vehicle is available at this time, according to SAPD.

The man was transported to University Hospital in serious condition. Police said he suffered head trauma in the crash.
