Stray bullets tear into 2 mobile homes on city’s West Side

1 bullet landed on bed, another on couch

SAN ANTONIO – People at a West Side mobile home park woke up to the sound of gunshots early Thursday, then found evidence of a shooting in their homes.

San Antonio police say stray bullets pierced two different homes at the Westwood Estates Mobile Home Park, located in the 7200 block of W. Military Drive.

They say one bullet landed on a couch in one mobile home, while the other ended up on a bed in a separate residence.

People in the area had reported hearing gunshots before 4:30 a.m., police said.

A short time later, officers learned that the two homes had been hit by the gunfire.

They said no one was injured in the shooting.

Police said they had no description or information on the shooter.
