Bond today was reduced from $2 million to $450,000 by Judge Frank Castro in the 399th district court. At this point, it is unclear whether he will be able to post the reduced bond. Decision pending on pretrial motions in trial of man charged in wife’s slaying
Convery is awaiting a decision on pretrial motions on file in the case. A Bexar County grand jury indicted McDonald in October 2019 on murder and tampering with evidence charges. “I need the discovery that they were obligated to give me, and should have given me, before we can go to trial”, Convery said. The Bexar County District Attorney’s Office didn’t comment on Convery’s motions, citing the DA’s policy not to discuss pending cases. No date has been set for a ruling from Judge Frank Castro on Convery’s motions.

SAN ANTONIO - A local search group isn't giving up hope in finding Andreen McDonald, a mother and local businesswoman who disappeared in March. On Sunday, the Chain Breakers, a group comprised mostly of military veterans, gathered to search for any new clues in McDonald's disappearance. The group said its aim is to assist in situations involving domestic violence, runaways and missing persons. Sundaymarked the first of what the group says is a three-part search for McDonald. While the group didn't say where members would be searching, Robert Green, a spokesman for the group, did share that between 40 and 50 people volunteered to search.
