Mobile flight simulator brings education, opportunity at several locations in San Antonio
Over the summer, the San Antonio community has gotten a hands-on flight experience with the San Antonio Airport System’s (SAAS) mobile flight simulator — giving children the unique opportunity to experience flying a plane.
New, 20-year plan for San Antonio International Airport ‘clear for takeoff’
The “SDP,” as officials refer to it, provides a vision for the airport into 2040 that will accommodate expected growth. It calls for unifying the airport terminals, including a brand-new, third terminal; adding more gates; extending the largest runway to accommodate longer international flights; re-routing vehicle traffic; central passenger screening; and more parking.

Pilot participating in flyover celebrating 19th Amendment shares experience
SAN ANTONIO – A female pilot participating in the flyover celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 19 Amendment Friday is hoping the event encourages women from all backgrounds to keep reaching for the stars. I watched ‘Top Gun’ and was like, ‘Man that was really cool!’ But the spark really happened around junior year of high school. I really started looking into the aviation job market. Here is somebody that is like me that is doing it.’”Law said the flyover is a physical manifestation to her. “It is a picture of where we are as women,” Law said.
