KERRVILLE, Texas – Kerrville, the birthplace of Texas' favorite grocery chain, is now home to a new 114,000-square-foot H-E-B. The newest H-E-B store is located at 300 Main St. and will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. This store is brand new and was constructed adjacent to the existing store which is now closed, H-E-B spokesperson Julie Bedingfield told KSAT. The new store added 100 jobs for locals, growing the locations team to more than 415 H-E-B partners, including the store’s longest-serving partner Kathy Tilton who has worked at the Kerrville H-E-B for 46 years. H-E-B is also expected to make a $500,000 gift to the Friends of the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library, which the H.E.

While H-E-B stores are still limiting some items like wipes and gloves, hand soap and hand sanitizer have dropped off the purchase-limit list along with trial and travel size disinfecting and antibacterial sprays/wipes. Baby wipes have also dropped off the purchase limit list for the border region. The product limits vary at select stores and are an effort to protect the supply chain and make sure our customers can find the items they need, H-E-B spokesperson Julie Bedingfield told KSAT in March. SAN ANTONIO H-E-B will no longer deny entry to customers at San Antonio stores for not wearing a mask, according to H-E-B spokesperson Julie Bedingfield. A previous statement from Bedingfield, sent to KSAT on May 4, indicated San Antonio stores were requiring H-E-B partners (employees) and customers to wear face coverings while shopping. Vendors will also be required to wear masks inside H-E-B stores. As Texans Helping Texans, we wear masks to keep each other and our families safe. Social distancing, wearing masks, proper handwashing, and sanitization are all things we do to help keep Texas healthy, Bedingfield said in a statement to KSAT.
