These vehicles will be up for auction by the Leon Valley Police Department. SAN ANTONIO โ A variety of vehicles will be up for auction this week in Leon Valley. The Leon Valley Police Department will hold an online auction starting on Monday and ending on April 5. All vehicles must be paid for by 5 p.m. by April 5 at the City of Leon Valley, 6400 El Verde Road. The following vehicles will be up for auction:
Mystery surrounds departure of Leon Valley police chief
Chief Joseph Salvaggio is no longer with the Leon Valley Police Department. LEON VALLEY โ After serving as the police chief of the Leon Valley Police Department for more than four years, Joseph Salvaggio has parted ways with the department. โI just wanted to inform the council Chief Salvaggio is no longer with the city of Leon Valley, I have appointed David Gonzalez as police chief,โ she said. Salvaggioโs exit comes a month after Leon Valley Councilman Joshua Stevens was charged with assaulting Salvaggio. Caldera was recently appointed as acting city manger after Hank Brummentt resigned as acting city manager on Feb. 26.
Two arrested after police chase with stolen U-Haul vehicle, Leon Valley officials say
SAN ANTONIO A police chase with a stolen U-Haul vehicle resulted in two arrests, according to Leon Valley police. The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Sunday and the chase ended on Wurzbach Road. Police said the driver of the U-Haul led LVPD and San Antonio police on a chase before crashing into another vehicle. Some Leon Valley businesses having issues complying with disaster declarations
LEON VALLEY, Texas โ There is some apparent push back by some businesses in Leon Valley regarding disaster declarations issued due to the coronavirus. The Leon Valley Police Department said it's trying to work with some businesses that want to remain open despite the declarations. The city of Leon Valley approved a local disaster declaration that restricts certain activities in businesses to mirror declarations issue by the city of San Antonio, Bexar County and the state of Texas. Leon Valley Police Chief Joe Salvaggio said his officers have issued warnings to some businesses and are working with others that can continue to remain open but still comply with the restrictions. The penalties for businesses not complying with the declarations go into effect Saturday.
