SAN ANTONIO – Residents living in a southeast side apartment complex are fed up with the high crime they’ve experienced, especially after four people were injured in a shootout on Sunday night. “It was super scary and shocking,” said Shanica Jackson, a resident at the New Riviera Apartments off Dollarhide Avenue. Anybody could have gotten hit.”San Antonio police are still searching for the suspect involved in the shooting. Police records show that the New Riviera Apartments have kept San Antonio police very busy since March 1, 2021. “I believe they need to do some kind of curfew,” Jackson said.

Investigation underway after gunfire hits woman’s apartment bedroom
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating after gunfire struck a woman’s Southeast Side apartment late Thursday night. Officers were called around 11 p.m. to an apartment in the 2000 block of Dollarhide Avenue, not far from Goliad Road after receiving word of a shooting. According to police, the woman called for officers after several unidentified people were outside her apartment shooting in a street nearby. Police said one of the bullets struck the woman’s apartment, entering her bedroom. Police said they were unable to locate any suspects or witnesses and did not find any blood or shell casings.

Disturbance call turns into standoff at far West Side apartment, police say
SAN ANTONIO San Antonio police were involved in a standoff with a man at a far West Side apartment for several hours early Thursday morning. According to police, officers arrived and contacted the man, but could not determine if anyone else was inside the apartment. Authorities say a 29-year-old woman was able to escape the apartment and taken to safety by police. The woman told investigators that she was assaulted by the man, and that he threatened to kill her. She told officers that the man had a rifle and fired the gunshot inside the apartment, police said.

Shooting at NW Bexar County apartment complex has neighbor worried about safety
SAN ANTONIO – A shooting at a northwest Bexar County apartment complex has at least one woman concerned about her family’s safety. Caitlyn Woods lives at the Alamo Ranch Apartments where a man was wounded late Monday night, according to Bexar County sheriff’s investigators. Man shot 3 times in chest at NW Bexar County apartmentsDeputies found him after 11 p.m. lying on the hallway floor in the one of the buildings of the complex in the 11500 block of Alamo Ranch Parkway. “I heard sirens really loud, which we live really close to the highway, so I didn’t think anything of it,” Woods said. They declined to discuss the motive for the shooting and as of late Tuesday morning had not made any arrests.
