SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for three men believed to be responsible for setting an East Side convenience store on fire last month.
At approximately 9:50 a.m. Dec. 9, surveillance cameras recorded what appeared to be three men, each wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, walking into the MLK Food Mart at 3107 Martin Luther King Dr.
According to police, one person held the door open while a second splashed accelerant from a bucket onto store merchandise. The third person then lit a stick on fire and threw it inside, causing the merchandise inside to burst into flames.
Employees were inside the store at the time of the fire, but no one was hurt.
Police said the trio ran from the scene in an unknown direction. If caught, all three would face arson charges.
