SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police were kept busy Saturday night and into early Sunday morning. The following is a brief synopsis of what happened in the Alamo City all before the sun came up.
At 2 a.m. a woman was crossing the street at the intersection of Babcock and Wurzbach roads when a black pickup truck hit her. The driver took off and the woman was taken by EMS to University Hospital with abrasions and a large cut on her leg.

Shortly after, at 2:20 a.m., police were called to the 1400 block of North Main after a man was also hit by a vehicle. According to authorities two men fighting on the sidewalk wrestled to the ground and into the road. According to police, at some point one of the men got hit by a car. He was transported to University Hospital with multiple injuries. The driver of the car will not be charged.
On the North Side, one man lost control of his car and slammed into a telephone pole on Blanco Road near Mt. Riga Drive. Police said the impact caused him to roll over and crash into a fence. He was taken to University Hospital. Investigators haven't said what caused the driver to lose control.
Around 4:30 a.m., San Antonio police responded to a shooting in the 3700 block East Houston Street. KSAT 12 is told one man was shot three times and is in critical condition. Authorities are searching for the gunman.
