An Oklahoma couple is showing that for better or for worse starts before you say I do.
Authorities were in the process of arresting Brandon Thompson, 35, on felony warrants when he asked the officers if he could propose to his girlfriend before he was locked up.

The cops, surely not wanting to stand in the way of love, let him get down on one knee and moved his handcuffs from the back to the front so he could place the engagement ring on his bride-to-be.
The woman said yes.
When Thompson was asked about the impromptu proposal, he said "When you're in love with somebody and you know that you want to spend the rest of your life with them, you just want them to know how you feel."
Before officers arrived, Thompson was celebrating his birthday and the Fourth of July with family.
His new fiancee pulled together their savings to bail him out of jail.
A wedding date will be set when Thompson sorts out his legal troubles.
