Pedestrian taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by vehicle on West Side

SAN ANTONIO – A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a Jeep on Tuesday night on the city’s West Side.

San Antonio police officers responded to the accident at 11:35 p.m. at Culebra Road and North Zarzamora.

Police said a Jeep traveling westbound on Culebra struck a pedestrian who stepped out into the street.

The driver pulled over and rendered aid, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.

SAPD is investigating the incident.
