Two killed in wrong-way crash involving 18-wheelers, deputies say

The crash involved three 18 wheelers and happened around 1 a.m. at I-10 and Fair Oaks Parkway. Deputies say the driver of a Sedan was traveling eastbound, going the wrong way, recklessly, when it hit an 18-wheeler, causing both drivers to be ejected. Family of drunk driving, wrong-way crash victim remembers him as gentle giantAnother 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound and attempted to avoid the crash before it lost control. Another 18-wheeler traveling eastbound slammed into one of the 18-wheelers involved, crashing just a few hundred yards away. That driver was also uninjured, according to deputies.

Survivors of fatal drunk driving crash share their story during suspect’s trial

SAN ANTONIO – The only person involved in a fatal drunk driving wreck that wasn’t drinking that August 2018 night was killed. According to prosecutors, Olalde veered from the Loop 1604 access road and onto the sidewalk, where she struck Velasquez’s car as he attempted to exit onto the access road. Woman hit by truck after buying breakfast tacos at nearby restaurant identified

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – San Antonio police say a woman, identified Thursday as 65-year-old Oralia Gonzalez Castillo, was hit by a pickup and killed on the city’s Northeast Side after she had just left a nearby restaurant where she bought breakfast tacos. Woman hit, killed by vehicle while trying to cross Nacogdoches RoadPolice also found the truck that hit her and its driver still at the scene. By all accounts, Gonzalez Castillo had crossed in the middle of the dark street, away from any crosswalks, police said. WATCH: Amtrak train crashes into 18-wheeler in CiboloThe impact knocked Gonzalez Castillo out of her boots and sent a paper bag with her tacos flying into the air, landing on a sidewalk. According to a worker at the restaurant, Gonzalez Castillo appeared to be on her way to work at a food processing plant across the street.

Woman killed in NYE crash identified

SAN ANTONIO – A woman killed in crash on the far Northwest Side on New Year's Eve was identified Thursday as Jesamie Friend, 20. San Antonio police said Friend was speeding along NW Loop 410 near Highway 151 around 5 a.m. Tuesday when she lost control of her vehicle, which flipped and hit a median. Man, 18, arrested in New Year’s Day crash that left man, teen dead on West SideFriend was ejected from the vehicle, police said. She died at the scene.

Man killed after crash on Northeast Side identified

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the man killed in a Northeast Side crash Friday night. Luis Perez, 49, died at BAMC after being rushed from the scene of the accident at Loop 410 and Starcrest. Two injured after crashing into SAPD officer’s patrol vehicleThe crash that killed Perez was one of many police and emergency response crews worked Friday. At one point first responders worked at least six major accidents across the city. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
