As part of the scheduled service changes a new VIA Link zone, and an Express bus service to the San Antonio International Airport will be implemented, according to a press release.

VIA Metropolitan Transit is holding a virtual public hearing on Tuesday for some proposed service changes that are set to be implemented in May.

Interstate 35 has often been called the Main Street of Texas and has the traffic to prove it. And that increasing congestion, along with new rebates, has officials hoping freight companies will take another look at the privately-operated stretch of SH 130.

Census estimates show New Braunfels was the third fastest growing city in the country over the past decade and has the growing congestion to prove it. That added traffic has prompted renewed discussions about the need for more transit in the area.
