Justin Horne

Weather Authority Meteorologist / Reporter

Justin Horne is a meteorologist and reporter for KSAT 12 News. You can catch him on GMSA at 9, KSAT 12 News at Noon, and across KSAT 12’s various platforms. When severe weather rolls through, Justin will hop in the KSAT 12 Storm Chaser to safely bring you the latest weather conditions from across South Texas. On top of delivering an accurate forecast, Justin often reports on one of his favorite topics: Texas history.  This includes traveling to area towns to find out how they got their name.  He also follows water and aquifer issues closely.
 
A native Texan, Justin has worked all over the Lone Star State. Before joining the KSAT team in December 2010, Justin spent two years covering Gulf Coast weather in Houston for KIAH-TV. Justin has also worked in San Angelo and in his hometown of Midland. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Texas A&M University and earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of Approval in 2008.
 
Justin was born and raised in West Texas and spent much of his childhood fascinated by Texas weather. During his spare time, you can find Justin at the basketball gym utilizing his tall frame of 6 feet 4 inches. He also enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their two daughters, Hailey and Hannah.
