Large number of bees removed from Roosevelt Park

SAN ANTONIO – A massive removal of bees was performed at a park just south of downtown Wednesday.

The city and the American Honey Bee Protection Agency teamed up to safely remove the bees at Roosevelt Park.

Crews had to get to the inside of a tree trunk to reach the bees.

The American Honey Bee Protection Agency is dedicated to saving and protecting the future of our nation's bee population.

All of the bees gathered from Roosevelt Park will be protected and relocated.
