Alexis Scott

Reporter

Alexis Scott joined KSAT 12 as a reporter in April 2026.

Scott came to San Antonio from Corpus Christi, where she covered city and county politics, breaking news, the historic water crisis impacting South Texas and the Uvalde school shooting trial for KRIS 6 News.

She also spent time as a producer at KSAT's sister station, KPRC, and the ABC affiliate in Houston.

Before making her way to Texas, Alexis built a strong foundation in national news, contributing
to ABC News' 20/20 and Good Morning America. She also spent time as an intern at ABC's Washington bureau, covering stories within the Justice and Transportation Departments.

Originally from Michigan, Alexis brings curiosity, a strong work ethic, and the ability to connect with
people from all walks of life. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Hampton University and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri.

Her passion for journalism is rooted in a simple idea: people deserve the truth and deserve to see themselves reflected in the stories being told.

Alexis is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the National Association of Black Journalists and the NAACP.

Outside the newsroom, Alexis enjoys traveling and chasing new experiences, including hiking volcanoes in El Salvador and finding the best paella in Barcelona. Closer to home, she loves spending time with family, cooking, shopping and has recently picked up boxing as a new hobby.

Now in San Antonio, Alexis is excited to tell stories that matter to communities across the Alamo City. Have a news tip for Alexis? Email her: ascott@ksat.com.
