There was no atmosphere, no intensity and no goals as Manchester United and Manchester City drew 0-0 in the 183rd derby. The rivals are both unusually low in the Premier League, too.

Liverpool became the first reigning Premier League champions to concede seven in a game. A poor attempt at a pass was pounced upon in the Liverpool box by Grealish, who laid the ball to Watkins for a simple finish. But within moments the visitors had conceded again, with John McGinnโs volley going past Adrian via a deflection off defender Virgil Van Dijk.

The champion's high-risk, high-reward strategy paid off in its come-from-behind 3-1 win over Arsenal on Monday in an open game featuring a late clinching goal by Diogo Jota in his first league start for Liverpool. Liverpool is one of three teams to have opened with three straight wins, including over Chelsea and now Arsenal. The last time the southwest London club was in the Premier League โ in the 2018-19 season โ it conceded a division-high 81 goals and got relegated.
United, Chelsea into CL; Bournemouth, Watford down from EPL

United won 2-0 at Leicester through goals by Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team a third-place finish. Captain Jack Grealish scored Villa's goal in what could be his last game for his boyhood club. Bournemouth did what it had to do and beat Everton, 3-1, but ended up one point behind Villa. Also, Southampton beat Sheffield United 3-1, with Danny Ings scoring his 22nd goal of the season.
