Scholar Athlete: Mia Adriano, Wagner High School
To have to make time for your school work, family time and practice time is a challenge. There are so many positive things I have to say about Wagner High School, but the one thing that I have to place above the rest is the staff. I will always be thankful that I went to Wagner rather than any other school in San Antonio. We are more important than any school work, sport, workout, essay, any other person. He is an incredible athlete who will do whatever it takes to help his team.

Scholar Athlete: Madalyn Gonzalez, Providence High School
Just staying focused and not giving up on your goals is a huge factor that helped me become a great student athlete. Another thing that drives me to be successful is many people saying that I can’t be both a student or an athlete. What do you like best about the high school you attend? The aspect that I love most about Providence is the strong bond that connects us all as a class. If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why?

Scholar Athlete: Faith Bruce, Providence High School
What do you like best about the high school you attend? My favorite thing about Providence is the time investment that the teachers make in each student. I want to attend Abilene Christian University because strong values of service and faith are prevalent in the curriculum. If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why? I would take Cody Ko to prom because he’s my favorite comedian and he seems like he can dance well.

Scholar Athlete: Donovan Ricondo, South San High School
Ever since I was little, they always told me to do well in school so I can grow up to have a successful career. They always make sure I am on top of things in the classroom and always support me in my academics. Whenever you have a bad day on the court or in the classroom, your family will always be there for you. My family and I would always cheer for the school whenever we watched them play football or basketball. If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why?

What advice would you give other student-athletes on how to succeed on the field, in the classroom and remain close to family? What do you like best about the high school you attend? If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why? Oh my, I would so totally take Chris Brown or Patrick Mahomes II, a very hard decision. I would take Patrick Mahomes II, well because he’s Patrick Mahomes and such a good football player.

What drives you to be successful in the classroom and your particular sport? By sharing your successes and failures with your family, you gain a support system that can help you through it. What do you like best about the high school you attend? James Madison High School has given me a safe place to express myself for four years. If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why?

Scholar Athlete: Bo Valtr, Madison High School
The best way to succeed in high school is to just focus. But if you stay focused on them and your goals, high school can be very fulfilling. What do you like best about the high school you attend? I like the people at my school the most since Madison is such a big school there is a place for everyone to find others that are like them. I would take Hope Solo because I remember watching her make save after save in the Women’s World Cup just a few years ago.

Scholar Athlete: Isabella Johnson, Brandeis High School
I am most excited about experiencing the final moments of high school. I know everyone freaks out about the last football game, the last Homecoming, the last high school sports game. What do you like best about the high school you attend? The best part about my high school is the support we have from all the teachers and administrators. I believe what makes Brandeis the best is its faculty because they have aided in shaping the successful students in our school.
