Did you lose a friend or family member to COVID-19? Share your loved one’s story

It almost seems impossible, but we’ve been living with COVID-19 in our lives for almost a year, and tragically, some of us have lost grandparents, parents, siblings and friends to this unforgiving virus. As the United States is approaching 500,000 deaths since early 2020, it seems that many of us have experienced a COVID-related loss. So, in honor of your loved one’s memory, we’re asking that you share a photo of them and tell us their story. We’ve all dealt with grief in our lives, but losing a loved one to the COVID-19 pandemic is especially hard, since we all can’t celebrate their lives like we normally would. Hopefully sharing your loved ones with others virtually can bring you the tiniest bit of comfort in these uncertain times.

Through the first half of the District 27-5A season Jefferson remained laser-focused on the prize. Undefeated Jefferson (14-3, 9-0) has a mission to become the first girls’ basketball playoff team in the school’s 45-year history. Jefferson scored the next seven points, concluding with a three-pointer from Desiree Gonzales (14 points, all in first half). It’s like a family.”A pair of baskets from Kaleah Muñiz (17 points) helped Lanier close to 31-24 at halftime, but Jefferson outscored Lanier 15-4 in the third quarter. We wanted to keep playing the way we’ve been playing.”Jefferson’s Alisay Gonzalez scored 12 points from three-point range.

(AP Photo/Darron Cummings)DUBLIN, Ohio Jon Rahm won the Memorial to join Seve Ballesteros as the only Spaniards to reach No. Replay of Rahm's chip appeared to show the ball moved ever so slightly when he placed his lob wedge behind it. The chip was similar but from a different angle to Tiger Woods chipping in from behind the 16th green when he won the Memorial for the fifth time in 2012. Norlander and Hughes tied at 3-under 285, but the spot went to Hughes because he had the better world ranking.

Finau, Palmer share early lead at Memorial as Tiger hangs on

Tony Finau hits from the second tee during the second round of the Memorial golf tournament, Friday, July 17, 2020, in Dublin, Ohio. That kind of score isn't happening at Muirfield Village, where the greens are getting faster by the hour. The way Muirfield Village is playing, both are impressive. Woods, a five-time winner at Muirfield Village, has never missed the cut in 17 previous times at the Memorial. But I battled back well.Palmer played the Workday Charity Open last week at Muirfield Village and missed the cut.

For the week of the U.S. Open, golf was in its second week of returning from the pandemic, at Harbour Town. Tiger Woods to return next week at Muirfield Village

DUBLIN, Ohio The PGA Tour returned five weeks ago with some of its strongest fields. He chose not to go to Mexico City for a World Golf Championship, then skipped three straight tournaments in Florida before golf was halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic. That will give him at least one start, and possibly two if he plays a World Golf Championship in Tennessee, before heading into the first major of a reconfigured year. The PGA Championship is Aug. 6-9 at Harding Park in San Francisco, where Woods won a World Golf Championship in 2005. Woods has played only three times this season on the PGA Tour, starting with his record-tying 82nd victory at the Zozo Championship in Japan.

Yad Vashem is an almost sacred institution in Israel, where students, soldiers and company outings tour regularly and where the country holds its annual Holocaust remembrance day ceremony. In 2015, Yad Vashem challenged the accuracy of a claim by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggesting that a World War II-era Palestinian leader persuaded the Nazis to adopt their Final Solution to exterminate 6 million Jews.
