Man punches clerk, steals from convenience store, police say
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for a man who they say punched a clerk and stole from a convenience store on the city’s Northeast Side late Wednesday night. The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. at a convenience store in the 9100 block of Perrin Beitel Road, not far from Loop 410. According to police, the man took several items from inside the store and punched the clerk before fleeing. Police said the man left on foot, and has not been found. The injured clerk was checked out at the scene by EMS crews.
Woman, dog killed in 2-alarm apartment fire on Northeast Side, SAFD says
SAN ANTONIO – A woman and her dog have died as a result of a fire that broke out in their North Side apartment Thursday morning. They quickly found out that the fire in a ground floor unit already had a head-start. When firefighters were able to get inside, they found the woman down on the floor in a hallway. He said they also found her dog, dead inside the apartment. Members of the American Red Cross arrived at the apartment complex to assist them in finding other accommodations.
BCSO arrests man, 23, wanted in shooting in NE Bexar County
SAN ANTONIO A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with a shooting earlier this month in northeast Bexar County. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said the suspect, Dajuon Shykief Wannamaker, was apprehended without incident at an apartment complex in the 9500 block of Perrin Beitel Road. Salazar said Wannamaker went to a home in the 8700 block of Glen Mont on May 12 asking for someone at the residence. The arrest was the second this week in the area, Salazar said.

SAN ANTONIO – Residents in a North Side apartment complex were displaced from their units after a fire Wednesday morning. Two apartments were damaged by the fire, and four other apartments were affected by smoke and/or water, officials said. No one was injured in the fire, and two dogs living in separate apartments were rescued.
