UTSA researchers claim to create product that extends battery life of gadgets Tiny chip would help cellphones, medical devices run longer at top efficiency
SAN ANTONIO – A team of researchers at the University of Texas at San Antonio have created a product they claim will extend the battery life of gadgets.
"It would benefit all battery-operated devices, some medical-implanted devices, mobile phones and also other internet of things devices that can last for a longer period of time."
UTSA researcher Shuza Binzaid helped develop a tiny chip that he said will help improve the efficiency of electronic devices by helping them run on low power.
"The technology is reaching the point that it needs other inventions to go along with it to take the silicon semiconductor technology forward," Binzaid said.
