Time magazine names BTS its Entertainer of the Year
NEW YORK โ BTS has had more than just a โDynamiteโ year โ they've become such a global phenomenon that Time magazine named the South Korean group its 2020 Entertainer of the Year. The magazine cited BTS' massive global presence amid the pandemic, including leveraging their massive fan base to support causes like Black Lives Matter. 1 hit โDynamite.โ The song in November brought BTS its first Grammy nomination. โThere are times when Iโm still taken aback by all the unimaginable things that are happening,โ BTS member Suga told Time for an interview that accompanied the announcement. Thatโs no small thing, but his true influence was what he did off of the court,โ said Goldberger.

SEOUL SEOUL, South KoreaAs American protesters took to the streets to mourn the death of George Floyd, they found an unexpected ally: K-pop fans. They flooded right-wing hashtags and police apps with short video clips and memes of their K-pop stars. Even so, political activism isnt exactly associated with K-pop fans. Over the years, K-pop fans have gained notoriety for overtaking Twitter trends and Instagram feeds. He also said K-pop stars are often bound by legal contracts, keeping them from making remarks that could come cause friction.

Encourage Esther COVID-19 BTS Fan Esther's care team will do just about anything to fight for her happiness and health. Arriving to Methodist Hospital in critical condition and on a ventilator, nurses were uncertain of just how much mental trauma she had already endured in her battle against COVID-19. Over the past month, Esther's care team has seen very few glimpses of hope in her eyes. One of Esther's nurses hung a few pictures of BTS in her room to serve as encouragement.

Local media said the canceled concerts were the inaugural leg of the band's new world tour. The South Korean government and others affected by the epidemic have pushed to restrict massive public events to try to avoid situations where the virus might spread. South Korean agencies have been canceling K-pop events at home and abroad in response to requests from fans about artists' safety.

Concerns over the worldwide coronavirus pandemic have led BTS to cancel their upcoming concerts in South Korea. On Thursday, 256 new cases of coronavirus were reported in South Korea, bringing the total number of reported cases to over 2,000. In the United States, there have been 60 reported cases of the virus, with no reported deaths.
