New exhibit at The DoSeum aims to raise awareness about dyslexia
Parents, if youโre in need of a new family activities for the kids, The DoSeum, San Antonioโs childrenโs museum, has a new fall traveling exhibit and an online lecture to help raise awareness and celebrate childrenโs learning differences. The exhibit โBeautiful Minds โ Dyslexia and the Creative Advantageโ is now open to show families what dyslexia really is and some of the challenges associated with dyslexia. Although dyslexia is labeled as a learning disability, it can also be seen as a different way of thinking. In the exhibit you will also learn about what dyslexia really is and the truth behind some of the negative myths that are perpetuated in society. โBeautiful Minds โ Dyslexia and the Creative Advantageโ will be on display until March 28, 2021.

SAN ANTONIO โ The DoSeum, San Antonioโs childrenโs museum, has announced a new exhibit and an online lecture that will take place next week to help raise awareness and celebrate childrenโs learning differences. The two events are designed to encourage the community to reflect on attitudes and assumptions about individuals who learn differently and inspire an inclusive society. An oversized tile spelling game, color block puzzles, and digital interactive educational games also offer unique learning opportunities for all ages. โThe exhibitโs appeal spans communities from learners, caregivers and educators," said Dan Menelly, CEO of The DoSeum. โAs a mother to three children, I understand that every child learns differently," said Sara Pfeifer, vice-president of development for The DoSeum.
The DoSeum reveals its Fall 2020 programming lineup
SAN ANTONIO The DoSeum, San Antonios childrens museum, has announced a variety of new programs for both families and educators this fall. Following the success of our in-person camps this summer, were excited to expand our program offerings for the families of San Antonio this fall, Daniel Menelly, The DoSeum CEO said. The DoSeum said children in the program build their self-expression, self-esteem, and self-awareness through thoughtful challenges and imaginative play. Little Doers Preschool has extended careThe DoSeums popular preschool program, The Little Doers, also returns for its fifth year. Each session will focus on one content and the cost for each session is $50, The Doseum said.
