East SA sex offender accused of violating registration rules

Anthony Tom Gonzales, 45, required to register as sex offender until 2020

SAN ANTONIO – A convicted sex offender who is supposed to register his whereabouts with law enforcement is wanted on charges he failed to do that.

Anthony Tom Gonzales, 45, was convicted in 1996 on a charge of indecency with a 14-year-old girl. A judge ordered Gonzales to register as a sex offender through February 2020.

The state sex offender registration site says Gonzales did so in 2008, but there is no record of him registering since then.

"A warrant was issued for Gonzales' arrest, following an indictment filed with the Bexar County District Court. The indictment alleged that Gonzales failed to comply with sex offender registration conditions and absconded from supervision," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Bozeman.

Gonzales has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds.

"His last known place of residence was on the East side of San Antonio," Bozeman said.

If you have any information on Gonzales' whereabouts, call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 210-657-8500.
