Suspect fires pellet gun during attempted robbery at South Park Mall Police: Jewelry case didn't shatter; 1 suspect arrested, 1 still at large
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested one of two suspects who tried to steal from a jewelry case from a Macy's department store located inside South Park Mall.
The robbery attempt was reported around 6 p.m. Sunday.
According to police, the suspect was seen on surveillance video trying to break the case with what appeared to be a firearm.

The suspect fired at the jewelry case with a pellet gun but it did not break, police said. The two suspects then ran off.
Police said they tracked down one of the suspects across the street and also found a handgun at the scene. The suspect detained has active warrants but no criminal history, police said.
The second suspect has yet to be located.
