Students talk to Harlandale, McCollum educators about historic rivalry

McCollum High School students heard from both sides ahead of the 61st Frontier Bowl

SAN ANTONIO – The Frontier Bowl is a big part of life in the Harlandale-McCollum neighborhood on the South Side. This is the one week each year where residents take sides.

After January’s Know My Neighborhood episode, which spotlighted the Harlandale-McCollum neighborhood, KSAT vowed to return in time for the 61st Frontier Bowl.

A new KSAT initiative we also kicked off is called KSAT Academy.

Ahead of Friday night’s game, KSAT asked McCollum students interested in journalism to talk to educators at Harlandale and McCollum to get their perspective on the historic South Side rivalry.
