Arby's and Buffalo Wild Wings owner buying Dunkin' Brands
NEW YORK โ Dunkinโ doughnuts and coffee is being combined with Buffalo Wild Wings and Arby's sandwiches. Inspire Brands Inc. said Friday that it is acquiring Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. for $11.3 billion, including the Dunkinโ Brandsโ debt that Inspire will be taking on. The private-equity firm will pay $106.50 in cash for all of Dunkin' Brands' shares, which closed Friday at $99.71. Dunkin' Brands' stock surged to an all-time high earlier this week after the company confirmed the two were in merger talks. In addition to Buffalo Wild Wings and Arby's, it owns the Sonic burger chain, Jimmy John's restaurants and Rusty Taco.
Dunkin' shares hit all-time high after holding buyout talks
The Dunkinโ doughnuts and coffee chain has confirmed it's held talks to be taken private by a private equity firm, sending its shares rocketing to an all-time high Monday. Dunkinโ Brands Group said itโs in preliminary discussions with Inspire Brands, which also owns Arbyโs and Jimmy Johnโs Sandwiches. Dunkinโ shares jumped $14.31, or 16.1% to close Monday at $103.10. Dunkinโ Brands revenue fell 20% in the second quarter, and the company said franchisees closed 200 restaurants permanently. Dunkinโ Brands reported full-year sales of $1.4 billion in 2019, up 4% from the previous year.

Pumpkin spice lattes return to Starbucks
SAN ANTONIO It certainly doesnt feel like fall in Texas just yet but Starbucks has brought back their signature fall favorites including the famous pumpkin spice latte. The fall menu officially debuted Tuesday and for people who want to brew their coffee at home pumpkin spice-flavored ground, packaged, and ready-to-drink products are available at grocery stores nationwide, according to Starbucks officials. Instagram account Siren Saviors, dedicated to all things Starbucks, posted photos of a glow-in-the-dark Halloween-themed tumbler set to hit the market in September. Dunkin debuted their fall menu a little early this year with the donut chain making their pumpkin spice latte and other menu options available on Aug. 19 earlier than ever before, according to officials. Pumpkin spice latte makes early return to Dunkin in August
SAN ANTONIO Dunkin is answering the call for fall with an early return of the signature pumpkin spice latte. Officials with the doughnut chain sent a press release Wednesday saying the fall favorite will be available at stores nationwide earlier than ever before starting Aug. 19. This is one of the most anticipated times of the year for Dunkin guests, and were excited to make pumpkin favorites available at Dunkin restaurants earlier than ever, said vice president of marketing strategy Jill Nelson. No one does fall flavor better than Dunkin', Nelson said. Dunkins Pumpkin K-Cup pods will also be available for purchase at participating stores, including Dunkin locations and grocery retailers nationwide.
Some coffee with your coffee? Dunkin' launching cereal line
As if 2020 wasnt weird enough, Dunkin is getting into the cereal game. The Massachusetts-based coffee and donuts empire is releasing two new breakfast cereals based on two of its most popular coffee drinks: Caramel Macchiato and Mocha Latte. The companies say Dunkin' coffee concentrate is added to the cereal, which consists of little crunchy spheres mixed with flavored marshmallow bits. It launched a cereal line based on their popular glazed and chocolate donuts in the 1980s that didnt exactly take off. The cereal effort comes as Dunkins brick-and-mortar shops, like others nationwide, have taken a hit during the coronavirus pandemic.
