The first Tuesday night of the high school volleyball season featured some thrilling non-district matchups, as Reagan swept O'Connor, Clark knocked off Alamo Heights, Harlan came from behind to defeat Johnson, Lanier held off St. Mary's Hall and Jefferson battled John Jay.

Junior Keely Williams' grand slam capped an impressive 8-run explosion in the top of the 5th, as the Judson softball team rolled past O'Connor in the decisive game of their best-of-three UIL Regional Semifinal playoff series at Somerset High School on Saturday evening.

In the fourth round of the UIL Class 6A softball playoffs, O'Connor scored 6-runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to defeat Judson in game 1, while the Reagan and Navarro baseball teams keep their seasons alive with game two victories over Smithson Valley and Canyon Lake respectively.

SAN ANTONIO โ Plenty of great boys basketball action on Tuesday night, as Al Emerllahuโs late shot gives Clark a 49-48 victory over Harlan in the regional semifinals, OโConnor comes up short in a back-and-forth battle with Westlake and Antonian rolls past Houston St. Pius in the second round of the TAPPS playoffs.

SAPD: Driver arrested for DWI after rolling vehicle over on Northeast side
SAN ANTONIO โ A driver was able to walk away with minor injuries after losing control of their vehicle, rolling over and crashing into a guardrail. This all happened early Saturday at around 2:30 on I-35 and OโConnor. The vehicle landed wheels up and sustained major damage. According to police, traffic was not affected by the crash and it was quickly cleared. The drive was given a sobriety test at the scene and was taken in by police for driving while intoxicated.
High speed, alcohol suspected factors in Northeast Side crash, authorities say
SAN ANTONIO โ One man was hospitalized after he and another passenger crashed into a wall divider on I-35 on the Northeast Side, according to San Antonio police. The crash happened around 4 a.m. at I-35 and OโConnor. Officials said two people were in the vehicle, exiting I-35 at OโConnor when they hit the wall divider. HS Basketball Highlights: February 11th
SAN ANTONIO โ History was made around the San Antonio area basketball community on Tuesday night, as East Central standout Stan Bonewitz Jr. was honored pre-game for his induction into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame, OโConnor sophomore Carleigh Wenzel broke the 1,000 point barrier in the Panthersโ win over Stevens, and Karnes City girls basketball head coach Burke Braun coached the final home game of his illustrious 32-year career.
