Bexar County commissioners approve โsymbolicโ property tax cut
Commissioners voted 3-1, with one abstention, to cut the tax rate for the countyโs portion of property tax bills from $0.301097 to $0.299999 for every $100 of valuation. That equates to somewhere between a $3 to $4 savings a year for the average homeowner, staff said.

Bexar County Precinct 1 will have first new commissioner in 15 years
The race is on for a new Bexar County Precinct 1 Commissioner after incumbent Sergio โChicoโ Rodriguez lost to his Democratic challenger in the July runoff election. SAN ANTONIO โ Updated at 12 a.m.: Rebeca โBeckyโ Clay-Flores took a huge lead early Tuesday in the Democratic runoff for Bexar County Commissioner, Precinct 1, to knock out the incumbent, Sergio โChicoโ Rodriguez.
