Brownsville police investigating deadly hit-n-run accident
Brownsville police are investigating a deadly hit-n-run accident that left a 59-year-old man dead. The accident happened at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the 800 block of Calle Milpa Verde, said Investigator Martin Sandoval, spokesman for the Brownsville Police Department. Sandoval said the man was struck by a white pickup truck and died at the scene. The driver of the truck left the accident scene without providing any medical attention to the victim, Sandoval said. Although the victim has been identified, police are not releasing his identification until his family has been notified.

The children, who suffered life threatening injuries, were first transported to Valley Regional Medical Center but were later transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, police said. The driver of the Yukon was also transported to VBMC with serious life threatening injuries. The drivers and passengers of the other vehicles were also transported to other hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

SAN ANTONIO – A driver was able to walk away with minor injuries after losing control of their vehicle, rolling over and crashing into a guardrail. This all happened early Saturday at around 2:30 on I-35 and O’Connor. The vehicle landed wheels up and sustained major damage. According to police, traffic was not affected by the crash and it was quickly cleared. The drive was given a sobriety test at the scene and was taken in by police for driving while intoxicated.
Driver crosses median on Loop 410 on SW Side, strikes truck head-on
SAN ANTONIO – Two people were hospitalized following a head-on wreck along Loop 410 on the Southwest Side. San Antonio police officers responded to the crash around 8 a.m. Friday on the highway near Interstate 35. Michael Davis said a driver headed eastbound on Loop 410 crossed into the median, broke the barrier and crashed into a truck heading westbound. Three people seriously hurt after car hits Bexar County deputy’s vehicle
Bexar County – A man, woman, and child are in critical condition after a suspected drunk driver crashed into a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy’s vehicle, according to Bexar County officials. Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, the deputy had pulled over to help the three people in the stalled vehicle, when a woman driving eastbound slammed into the deputies car causing it to rollover onto the three victims, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. The man was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in critical condition. The woman and child were taken by ambulance, also in serious condition. The woman driving the vehicle was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.
