Man killed in hit-and-run in parking lot of East Side apartment complex, police say
SAN ANTONIO โ San Antonio police are investigating after a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot of an East Side apartment complex early Monday morning. According to police, as officers were leaving they found a man deceased in the parking lot with a tire track across his body. Police said they believe the man was hit by a car and that the driver sped off. A resident of the apartment complex helped police to identify the victim, saying that knew the 27-year-old victim and that he would stay with him from time to time. You couldโve walked up and talked to him, fought it out anything, I dunno.โThe ID of the man killed has not been released.
Witness captures moments leading up to fireworks disaster at Northeast Side racing meetup
SAN ANTONIO โ A witness captured the moments of a street racing meetup on Sunday night in the Eisenhauer Market parking lot that turned into a chaotic scene after a fireworks disaster. โPeople doing donuts, hanging outside the window,โ Pecina said. San Antonio police arrived at the scene just before 11 p.m. to find about 200 racers in the parking lot. Theyโll line up, do a couple of donuts,โ Pecina said. โPerrin Beitel and Nacogdoches are long, long roads that make it very, very attractive to this kind of situation,โ said Clayton Perry, District 10 councilman.
