SAN ANTONIO – McDonald's has expanded its delivery service via UberEats to more than 1,000 restaurants nationwide, the company announced Wednesday.

Customers in Los Angeles, Chicago, Columbus and Phoenix can now enjoy the McDonald’s menu delivered right to their home or work through the app.

"We are bringing a new level of convenience to more of our customers as we continue to transform the McDonald’s experience,” said McDonald’s President and CEO Steve Easterbrook. “Through the ease of the UberEATS app, our customers can enjoy their favourite McDonald’s foods delivered right to them enjoying greater choice, control and personalization than ever before.”

The pilot program started in more than 200 Florida locations back in January, to huge success. San Antonio currently has one McDonald's location listed on the app, found on Houston Avenue in the downtown area.

McDonald’s is one of the largest providers of delivered food in the world and already has over two decades of experience in delivery.

McDonald’s last year saw nearly $1 billion in delivery sales across both company and franchise restaurants. The company’s most developed delivery markets are in Asia and the Middle East, where top delivery restaurants generate up to 40% of their sales from delivery.
