Pedestrian trying to cross access road of Loop 1604 hit by car, SAPD says

Incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Loop 1604, Highway 281

SAN ANTONIO – A man attempting to cross the access road of Loop 1604 on the city’s North Side was hit by a car early Friday morning, San Antonio police said.

Officers were called around 2:30 a.m. to the intersection of Loop 1604 and Highway 281 after receiving word of a person injured.

According to police, the pedestrian was attempting to cross the Loop 1604 access road when he was struck by a white sedan.

The man was taken by EMS to University Hospital for his injuries. The driver was found not to be intoxicated, stopped the vehicle and stayed at the scene, police said.

No criminal charges are pending.
