Google’s Year in Search has been released, listing top searches for a variety of topics, including recipes.
Ranked from one to ten, the following are the Top 10 recipes of 2022, according to Google:
Sugo
Italian for sauce, “Sugo,” is known for its versatility in an assortment of recipes, earning its place as the number one searched recipe this year.
This sauce is made with tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, onions, and basil.
Cookbook author and TikTok user @mammamarzia shared a recipe for Sugo.

Hirway shared the recipe as a tribute to his mother on the CBS Sunday Morning segment, now having over 30,000 views.
This recipe consists of a graham cracker crust filled with a custard made from canned Alphonso mango pulp, Cool Whip, and cream cheese.
Green Goddess Salad
Grabbing the attention of stadium performing stars, the green goddess salad took center stage as the fifth top-searched recipe of 2022. Even grabbing the attention of vegan enthusiast and singer Lizzo, she shared her reaction, which had over 2.4 million likes!
The recipe includes chopped green cabbage, cucumbers, chives, and green onions tossed in a vegan pesto dressing.

“Jennifer Aniston” Salad
This salad went viral as it was believed that Jennifer Aniston ate it every day on the set of the 90s sitcom, Friends. However, Aniston debunked the rumor in an interview with Shape.
“I’m sorry, I feel like I’m disappointing everybody, but that’s not my salad,” said Aniston.
“It looks delicious, but it’s not the salad that I had on Friends,” she said, admitting that she doesn’t know where the bulgar-based recipe came from.
Nonetheless, Aniston said it looked amazing!
The salad consists of bulgur, diced cucumbers, parsley, mint, red onion, garbanzo beans, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped pistachios.
The salad originally took the internet by storm when featured on influencer @eatinghealthyfeed, receiving thousands of likes and millions of views across multiple platforms.
Grinder Sandwich
This viral sandwich was inspired by a viral TikTok showing the process of user @joshcookswright making a 21-ingredient “Italian Grinder” sandwich for his girlfriend.
The recipe consists of homemade toasted focaccia bread topped with melted cheese, turkey, ham, soppressata, capicola, prosciutto, pepperoni, and tomatoes.
Bella Hadid Sandwich
It definitely runs in the family, the Hadid sisters have taken the internet by storm when it comes to recipes for the second year!
Gigi Hadid went viral last year for her pasta, and now Bella has done the same with a Sandwich recipe.
Bella shared a video of a picnic that showcased the sandwich on TikTok, the internet ran with the video giving it 5.9 million views.
The sandwich is filled with turkey, cheese, salami, lettuce, a red onion mixture, pepperoncini, sliced tomatoes, basil aioli, and balsamic vinaigrette.

This trending spaghetti came from a Hulu show, The Bear.
In the show, the recipe was shared in detail for fans to enjoy in the final episode!
The recipe calls for 10 garlic cloves, basil steeped in olive oil, and two 28-ounce cans of whole, peeled tomatoes, as well as a sauce made with onion-halves browned in butter and red pepper flakes.
